Prof. Laxman Krishnarao Pandit, the legendary vocalist of the revered Gwalior school of music, offers a course that combines theory and practice and is designed to increase appreciation for North Indian vocal music. Live demonstrations will be a highlight. The class meets twice a week for an hour, and covers the history of North Indian classical music and an introduction to musical terms and styles of singing.
